8 ways to be more positive


“What you think, you become. What you feel, you attract. What you imagine, you create.”

Keeping positive is something I’m still working on, especially nowadays in a world that spreads so much negativity. I have always admired people who choose to see the good in bad situations, and it’s definitely a quality that I hope to master one day. Following these tips though has made it easier to practice!


Surround yourself with positivity

Surround yourself with people who spread nothing but positive vibes. You are what you surround yourself with after all, so find people who believe in you, are kind, optimistic, encouraging and bring out the best in you.


Set Goals

Setting goals keeps us motivated and driven to achieve something we are working towards, and there is no better feeling than the sense of accomplishment! Even if the goal/s are small, they make you feel confident..believe in yourself and you will be unstoppable.


Create a morning routine

Being the organised, structured person I am, I love having a morning routine set in place. It makes me feel empowered and ready to begin the day positively.



If you are constantly surrounded by mess and untidiness it often makes you feel disorientated and scattered – it does for me anyway. It’s amazing what a tidy and organised work space can do for your outlook.


Limit social media

Using social media on the daily can get pretty exhausting, especially if you are using multiple platforms daily. Limiting the amount of time you spend each day on social media is refreshing and even energizing..it’s easy to get lulled in to the ‘perfect’ lives of friends and celebrities on social media but 90% of the time they only share the most positive parts of their lives.


Gratitude and attitude

Gratitude is one of the most powerful qualities a person can hold. The difference between happy people and unhappy people is their level of gratitude. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity and build strong relationships.


Get enough sleep

We all know how important sleep is in everyday life, but I honestly believe getting enough sleep can determine your attitude for the day. I definitely notice a difference when I’ve had a restless night.. I can’t think properly, I’m moody and my ability to focus and tackle the day’s tasks becomes a lot more difficult.


Never compare

Never compare yourself to anyone else! Everyone’s life journey is different. Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing, focus on what you’re doing. You have nothing to gain from comparing your life to others.
